CultureSource aspires to adapt its funding offerings to meet the evolving needs of the cultural sector. We have previously sponsored numerous grants to address specific needs or reduce the impact of topical challenges.

If you have an open RFP, calls for art, or short-term project opportunity for artists, you may submit it for inclusion on this page. CultureSource members and partners are welcome to submit their RFPs free of charge—submissions will be posted within 24 hours (excluding holidays and weekends). Nonmembers can make a submission for $25—submissions will be posted when payment has cleared.

Detroit Opera’s 2025–26 Resident Artist Program
Detroit Opera
This program for early-career professional opera singers offers individualized study to cater to the unique needs of each artist and aligns with the country’s top training programs. This highly competitive program offers individualized learning, performance experience and mentoring for the next generation of opera talent. Deadline to apply is Friday, September 1.

Pen America
PEN America Literary Awards, Grants, and Fellowships Program has honored many of the most outstanding voices in literature across diverse genres, including fiction, poetry, nonfiction, children’s literature, translation, and drama. PEN America confers distinct grants each year to support writers and works-in-progress in diverse genres including translation, YA writing, oral history, and writing for justice.

Google
Google Ad Grants help nonprofits share their causes with the world, raise awareness, and recruit supporters. Qualifying nonprofits can gain access to up to $10,000 per month in search ads shown on Google.com.
Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation
In addition to grants and financial assistance, the AAACF offers numerous scholarships for first generation college students, women in computing, student athletes, and more.

Dance USA
Compiles a range of funding opportunities and fellowships available to dance professionals.

Microsoft 365 Grant
Microsoft
Microsoft’s Tech for Social Impact initiative is dedicated to providing affordable and accessible technology to help nonprofits of all sizes achieve their mission. With the Microsoft 365 grant, eligible nonprofits can get Microsoft 365 Business Premium free for up to 10 users and discounted pricing of $5.50 (USD) per user/month for additional users.
Opera America
Various awards to advance the careers of women and people of color, highlight emerging artists, and recognize the leadership of exceptional trustees. Grants for opera companies to fund civic performance and repertoire development also available.

Southeast Michigan is home to numerous funding initiatives—including ones at CultureSource—that often seek people willing to review and surface insights about applications. Submit your interest form today to serve as a panelist for future CultureSource funding programs. You’ll learn more about supporting arts organizations and artists locally, funding processes, grantmaking and grant writing, and more. Honorariums are paid to panelists commensurate with time spent reviewing applications and budget constraints.
