We had a great time last week running around the region with Anne McCarthy, Vice President of Executive Search at Koya Leadership Partners. In collaboration with Koya, we hosted 5 workshops and discussions over the course of three days. We started in Ann Arbor with a talent development workshop for U-M Arts & Culture Faculty/Staff followed by a discussion on entering and leading in the arts field for U-M, Wayne State and EMU arts management students at EMU in Ypsilanti. The next day, we hosted a succession planning workshop at the U-M Detroit Center for arts and culture nonprofit CEOs and board chairs, and followed with a hiring managers workshop at Co.act Detroit in collaboration with CoStaff Services. We finished out the visit with a discussion about partnering with organizations in transition with local philanthropy professionals.
A huge thank you to Anne, the folks at Koya, and the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan for making all of the above possible. Check out the photos from the succession planning workshop above! We’re excited to build off of this work and develop more programs and events on succession planning and talent recruitment to come in 2020!
