MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS REGIONAL MINIGRANT PROGRAM

About MCACA Minigrants

CultureSource serves as the regranting agency for the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) Minigrant program in Region 10b, Wayne County. The Minigrant program is a partnership between MCACA and Regional Regranting Agencies throughout the state.

Minigrants support a broad range of artistic expression from all cultures through projects which preserve, produce or present traditional or contemporary arts and culture and/or arts education. In addition, the Minigrant program includes a category for Professional or Organizational Development (POD) to assist nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, administrators, and artists with opportunities that specifically improve their business management and/or brings the artist or the arts organization to another level artistically.

Nonprofit organizations located in Wayne County may apply for up to $4,000 per Arts Project and up to $1,500 for Professional/Organizational Development. There are matching funds requirements and applications are competitively scored by a panel of locally-based reviewers with experience in the arts, culture, heritage, education, and nonprofit best practices.
