Job Description:

Seeking multi-talented artists and designers to support adult artists with disabilities to make artwork in the Friendship Circle Soul Studio. The ideal candidate has a history of working with groups of diverse learners, is able to manage many different skill levels at once, is patient yet diligent, enjoys problem solving, and is compassionate towards difference and disability. A knowledge of art history, particularly modern and contemporary art and design is preferred.


  • Skills in several art media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, fibers, digital design, photography, carpentry and woodworking
  • 2 or more years teaching art to groups with different skill levels
  • A bachelor’s degree
Preferred Skills:
  • Preferred but not required:
    • A masters in fine art or design
    • Experience working with individuals with disabilities/special needs
    • Strong knowledge of art history and design
    • A strong art or design practice
