Public arts projects, whether large or small scale, can feel incredibly daunting. So how do they get done? Join us for a series of 30-minute conversations with innovators and leaders in local and national public arts where we’ll race the clock to hear about their work and how do it.

Presenters on Thursday, September 24:

  • Ajara Alghali, Live6 Alliance
Ajara is the Program Manager for the Live6 Alliance in Detroit, where she works on community development, small business support, and creative placemaking projects including a community-designed mural in the Fitzgerald neighborhood that she lead the process for.
  • David Andersson, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Asphalt Art Initiative
David manages the Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Asphalt Art Initiative, which helps cities implement arts-driven transportation projects as an effective and relatively low-cost strategy to improve street safety, activate public space, and engage local communities.
