One of the foundational pillars of arts and cultural organizations is arts education: in-school programs, teaching artist residencies, after-school programs and classes, and summer camps. How have national leaders in the field of arts education shifted their work to provide quality programming for their audiences and continue to be a resource to the field? Join us for a program concerned with how we keep pushing rigorous, inviting, and exciting arts experiences for our kids and our communities.

Featuring:

  • Vanessa Thomas, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
  • Lisa Murch and Alaina Ewins, Mural Arts Philadelphia
  • Karen Cueva and Doug Beck, Carnegie Hall

Moderated by: Heather Vaughan-Southard, Michigan Arts Education Instruction and Assessment Project (MAEIA)

Immediately following this program, join us for our fourth 30-minute Hack Session on the topic of Lighting and Audio with Detroit Public Television (Part Two).
