Digital Access for the Arts Program

Supporting arts and culture organizations in continuing online arts work

Imagine the future of arts and culture work shaped by our present context. How might the current online work of arts and culture organizations continue online? How can we best prepare for and thrive in tomorrow’s blended in-person and online artistic environments?

The Digital Access for the Arts Program, created in partnership with CultureSource and the Rocket Community Fund, seeks to provide arts and cultural organizations with resources to build, grow, and transform their work in preparation for a sustainable future.

In Partnership With

LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Our seven-part workshop series is designed to help people working at arts and culture organizations question, challenge, and expand their knowledge on current trends in the online cultural space. Intended to be supportive and empowering, all workshops will be followed by 30-minute hack sessions, where participants will learn skills to enhance their work in the digital landscape.

RESEARCH

To assess the needs of CultureSource members, we commissioned 8 Bridges Workshop to discover how organizations use technology in their work today and possibly the future. This research provides insight into how organizations used digital technology to adapt their work for virtual presentation, and makes recommendations as to how arts organizations can build their digital capacity.

TECH EXPERTS-IN RESIDENCE

From February through May 2021, Tech Expert-in-Residence Jon Riley met with DAAP participants and CultureSource members to provide individualized support in ideating, innovating, brainstorming, and strategizing organization’s digital work. The purpose of this service isn’t to learn how to set up an online gallery, but instead explore why one wants to set up an online gallery.
