Representation isn’t just about seeing people, it’s about seeing the person for who they are, their story, and what makes them. Join us for two quick programs highlighting local music leaders in Southeast Michigan, who will tell their hip hop story in 5 songs. These quick chats aim to elevate voices and visionaries in our region, share artistic inspirations, and serve as a space for introduction, connection, and curiosity.
Presenters on Wednesday, December 2:
- Allandra Bulger, MC, co-founder of D.Cipher, and executive director of Co.act Detroit
- Cornelius Harris, label manager of Detroit-based independent techno label Underground Resistance, an assistant at Submerge Distribution, and founder of Alter Ego Management.
Moderated by: Simone Eccleston, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Tunes will be played by DJ Tammy Lakkis
